Course Criteria:-

Title of the course:

POST GRADUATION DIPLOMA IN BANKING & FINANCE (PGDBF)

Objective:

Keeping in view job prospects in banking & financial sector the objective of the course is to give in-depth knowledge of Banking & Finance to the students of all discipline with practical inputs and prepare them for career in Banks & other Financial Institutions.

Structure of the Course:

The course will be of one-year duration.

The course contents:

I. Course contains Five Papers. All Paper both Theory & Practical Type.

Paper I: - Banking & NBFC.
Paper II: - Microfinance & NBFC.
Paper III: - Insurance (Life & Non- Life).
Paper IV: - Mutual Fund & Trading/Securities.
Paper V: - Soft skill & PD.

II. Dissertation:

A student shall have to write and submit a dissertation on banking & Finance topic before Annual examination, which shall be evaluated separately

III .Viva-Voce:

After written examination, a student shall have to give Viva-voce (Oral Exam.) For which he/she will be evaluated. Dissertation and viva-voce forms a separate Head (6th) of Passing.

IV Practical Internship:

Every student shall have to put up an internship in a Bank & Financial Institute located in Bhubaneswar city for a period of one 15 days before annual examination.

Allotment of Exams & Marks:

I. The examination will consist of: Four Trimesters Written Exam & annual Exam candidates have to appear online only.
II. All Trimesters written examination in five papers each of 50 marks and will be of two hours duration.
III. Viva-voce carrying 70 marks and dissertation carrying 30 marks combined together 100 marks will make one head of passing
IV. To pass the examination a candidate must not obtain less than 40 % of the maximum number of marks, separately in (i) each subject and (ii) the viva voce.
V. Candidates securing more than 40%, 50 % and 60 % of the total marks will be declared to have passed in third, second and first division respectively.
VI. There must be PPT in each paper each 15 days of classes.
VII. One Candidates will choose topper of the year on the basis of Marks, attendance, behavior, PPT & dissertation etc.
VIII. The candidate who has failed to pass in all the subjects will be exempted to appear in those subjects in which, he has scored at least 50% marks in annual examination.

Nature of question papers:

Each paper will have same nature of question paper. For Trimesters Exam- • Objective Type Questions 10 (Multiple Choice)      :-10 Marks

Essay Type Questions

• Section I (One question out of two)      :-10 Marks
• Section II (Five questions out of six)      :-20 Marks
• Short Notes (Two out of Four)      :-10 Marks
Annual exam (online) all multiple choice question.   

Working Programme:

The course will be conducted during academic year of the Institute.

No. of students to be admitted: 50 only

(Institute may increase the seats if necessary)

Fee for the course per student:Rs. 65,500/-(included all study accessories)

Admission Fees: - Rs 25,000/-
Out Standing Fess will pay in Installment during Course Period.

Venue:-

The Course will be conducted in the Real Time Institute in Banking & Finance (RTIBF), at RTTC, Bhubaneswar, odisha.

Time:

As per the timetable of the Institute for post-graduate courses.

Basic Infrastructure:

Real Time Institute of Banking & Finance (RTIBF) having all modern infrastructures for training like WIFI Class room, electronics training system etc.

Training Faculty:-

All the paper having separate trainer from respective industry. Trainer must have practical exposure more than 10 years. There is some guest trainer/speaker from finance industry or institution may be invited as & when required.

Opportunities:

The students can get employment in Private bank, commercial, co-operative and Regional rural Banks and other Non Banking financial institutions. There is also good demand for students with knowledge of banking & Finance in insurance, Mutual Fund, Stock Broking companies & NBFC's also.

Qualification of the Students:

The course is meant for the Fresher Graduates in all discipline with min 45% aggregate & above. (Below 45% student may consider as per decision of management) & Age Below 30 Years.
